Our Process
We take great care in finding the best homes for our puppies. To ensure that our puppies go to loving and responsible families, we have a thorough application and adoption process.
How Our Process Works
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. Our application includes questions about your home, family, and lifestyle. We want to ensure that our puppies are going to a home where they will be loved and well-cared for. Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you to discuss the adoption process further. If we determine that you are a good fit for one of our puppies, we will notify you when a litter becomes available.
When the puppies are ready to go to their new homes, we will arrange a pickup time. Before you take your puppy home, we will provide you with a health guarantee and a contract. We require that all of our puppies are spayed or neutered and that they are not used for breeding purposes. We also require that our adopters stay in contact with us and provide updates about their puppy’s well-being. We love to hear about our puppies and how they are doing in their new homes!
If you have any questions about our adoption process, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to discuss it with you further.
Requirements for Adopting a Puppy
We have specific requirements for those who wish to adopt a golden retriever puppy from our breeding program. These requirements are in place to ensure that our puppies are going to homes where they will receive the love, attention, and care that they deserve.
- We require that our adopters have the time and energy to devote to their puppy’s care. Golden retrievers are active dogs that require regular exercise and playtime. We prefer that our adopters have a schedule that allows them to spend quality time with their puppy each day.
- We require that our adopters have the financial means to care for their puppy. This includes the cost of food, veterinary care, and training. We want our adopters to be prepared for the expenses that come with owning a dog.
- We require that our adopters provide a safe and loving home for their puppy. This means that the puppy should not be left alone for extended periods, should not be exposed to dangerous situations or environments, and should receive proper socialization and training.
If you meet these requirements and are interested in adopting a golden retriever puppy from our breeding program, we encourage you to fill out an application. We would be happy to discuss the adoption process further and answer any questions that you may have.
Health Guarantee and Contract
We stand behind the health and quality of our puppies. We take great care in selecting breeding dogs with excellent genetics, and provide proper care and socialization for our puppies. We also offer a health guarantee and contract to all of our adopters to ensure that they receive a healthy and happy puppy.
Health Guarantee
Our health guarantee covers any genetic conditions that may arise within the first 2 years of the puppy’s life. If your puppy is diagnosed with a genetic condition within this timeframe, we will offer a full refund or a replacement puppy. We require that you provide documentation from a licensed veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis.
Contract
Our contract is designed to protect the interests of both the adopter and the breeder. The contract outlines the terms of the adoption, including the responsibilities of the adopter and the breeder.
Some of the key points included in our contract are:
- The adopter agrees to spay or neuter the puppy at the appropriate age, unless the puppy is being adopted for breeding purposes and has been approved by the breeder.
- The breeder agrees to provide the adopter with a healthy and well-socialized puppy, free from genetic defects.
- The adopter agrees to notify the breeder in the event that they are no longer able to care for the puppy, and the breeder has the right of first refusal to take the puppy back.
- The adopter agrees not to sell or transfer ownership of the puppy without first obtaining the breeder’s consent.
